Custom Primitives

Postby NovaClaft » Mon Nov 22, 2010 11:15 am

Howdy!

I want to use custom primitives in Clones. I saw a folder in the editor within the Primitives folder called UserContent, but a search result on my hard disk for the folder Primitives yielded no results. How do I insert custom primitives into my level?

Also, when I upload my level later on, does it upload the custom primitive with it?

Hiya! I talked to the devs about this during testing.
There is no way for players to add custom primitives.
That folder you mention was used by level artists when
creating art assets. I suggested renaming it, but this
was low in the priority list for releasing the game and
would be complicated. The reason you don't see the
folder in a windows search is that the art content was
compressed somehow.

At one point we supported user-created primitives, but we dropped support for that in order maximize compatibility and minimize level load time as well as package size. Sorry.
