Although I have recently improved my ranking on a couple of levels, the new positions are not showing either on the rankings for those levels or non the single player statistics. I am definitely connected to the internet so what would be the problem

When you complete the singleplayer level do you see a world rank number displayed in the stats window that pops up? If that rank field is blank then the stats were not recorded by our server.
If you do see the rank then please send us a screenshot of the level with that stats popup visible so that we can investigate. Thanks.

Yes I do get my world ranking show on the screen which pops up. I am therefore sending as requested screen shots (at least I hope I am, my computer skills are not too good !)

We did a server upgrade last week (Sept 21st) and there was a small problem that I didn't notice that caused the scores to not be saved.
This problem is now fixed.
If you want your scores to show up, please replay those levels you completed since the 21st. Sorry about that!

Oh joy! I'll try again then.
Seriously, thanks for sorting it out.

Thanks for bringing this issue up. BTW, I noticed that you are doing quite well in the singleplayer rankings. Good job!
